Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components for various menu items with precision and efficiency
- Cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency in flavor and appearance
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Assist with meal preparation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Serve food promptly and courteously to guests or team members while upholding excellent customer service standards
Skills
- Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within Senior Living or food industry settings
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced culinary setting
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting service operations
