Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal assembly according to established recipes and menu standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support cooking processes by handling food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, grills, and dishwashers
- Assist with plating dishes to ensure presentation quality aligns with restaurant standards
- Handle dishwashing duties promptly to ensure the kitchen remains clean and ready for service
- Contribute to menu planning by providing feedback on ingredient quality and kitchen workflows when needed
Our shifts for morning will run different hours depending on the day, but will be Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. We potentially have a need for Thursday afternoon or Tuesday night. If you are interested in those hours as well, please let us know. Shifts will start between 10 or 11am on Wednesday/Sunday and 9:30am on Friday Saturday. Typical out time is around 5pm, but can vary based on business volume
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary settings preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with catering, serving, or meal preparation enhances your fit for this role
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
