Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor spaces pristine.
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stones, and installing features like pathways or retaining walls.
- Perform plant identification to ensure proper care and pest management; apply pesticides following safety protocols when necessary.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or installing sprinkler setups to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians and vehicles.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently while working outdoors with various tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping machinery and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and groundskeeping practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment operation.
- Ability to identify plants accurately and understand horticultural principles for proper care.
- Knowledge of pesticide management procedures to handle pest control safely and effectively.
