What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Garden & Gun Club?
Garden & Gun Club is searching for qualified candidates to join their food and beverage team.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled line cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization of their station and ensuring timely food production during service.
• Complete daily mise en place, maintain impeccable station cleanliness, and execute dishes to the Executive Chef’s exact specifications.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and food handling protocols.
• Crosstrain across all stations (sauté, grill, larder, etc.) to ensure seamless coverage and kitchen flexibility.
• Willingness to work with the team - jumping into the dish pit, assisting with heavy prep, or running food if the situation demands it.
• Monitor freshness, rotation (FIFO), inventory, and portion control with strong attention to detail.
• Assist in guiding and supporting our dish/prep team to help them grow into the next generation of cooks.
• Assist with opening and closing duties when necessary.
• Experience: 2 years of high-volume or fine-dining experience (we value attitude over a long resume).
• Clear, concise, and respectful communication under pressure.
• Reliability: arrive on time and ready to go each shift.
