Garden & Gun Club is searching for qualified candidates to join their food and beverage team.
As our host, you are the face of the restaurant and the director of the dining room flow. In our intimate setting, your job goes far beyond holding a seating chart. You are a vital part of the service floor. We are looking for someone with a professional mentality who can welcome guests with warmth while simultaneously keeping an eye on table resets and bussing needs.
• Greet every guest with genuine warmth, manage the waitlist, and seat tables with a plan for balanced server sections.
• Assist with table turns - bus, sanitize, and reset the table for the next party.
• Monitor the dining room and assist servers when needed (i.e. refilling water or clearing plates).
• Manage reservations and walk-ins with a strategy that maximizes seating capacity without overwhelming the kitchen.
• Keep the entryway, menus, and restrooms immaculate throughout the shift.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of reservation systems (Resy) is a plus.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
