***This role is based in a remote part of southern central Florida. All personnel will be required to live on-site, and meals and housing will be provided.***

Position Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team at a custodial facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all laundry operations. Your work will be crucial in ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and other items are clean, sanitized, and properly prepared for use. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining a high standard of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Fold, sort, wash, dry, fold, and issue all facility linens and uniforms.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers and dryers, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
• Follow all established safety and sanitation procedures for handling laundry.
• Monitor and manage inventory of all laundry supplies, reporting shortages to the supervisor as they arise.
• Inspect cleaned items for stains or damage and re-clean as necessary to ensure high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the entire laundry facility.
• Teamwork is important to ensure all laundry tasks are completed in a timely manner before your shift is over.
• Report all equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must possess prior experience in laundry work or similar role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be fluent in English. 
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality work.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to pass a medical assessment and drug screening.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
