***The role is based in a remote part of southern central Florida. All personnel will be required to live on-site, and meals and housing will be provided. Flights provided!***

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Job Summary: 

 We are seeking a dedicated and talented Barber to join our team at a custodial facility. In this role, you'll be essential in providing top-tier hair care and grooming services to residents while ensuring a safe and controlled environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide essential haircutting and grooming services, including shaves and beard trims for residents.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace and all tools, adhering to strict health, hygiene, and security protocols.
• Follow established communication procedures with staff and residents to ensure order and safety.
• Adhere to all facility rules, regulations, and security protocols while working with the resident population.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to providing quality services under supervision.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as managing inventory and tool accountability.

Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, and Experience:

• Must be a Florida licensed and certified Barber with professional experience in the field.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a clean criminal record and be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to pass a medical assessment and drug screening.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Physical Requirements:

Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. Employees may be also required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
