POSITION TITLE: Deburring Operator, Material Handler, and Plasma Table Helper
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Fabrication Leader or Manager
JOB SUMMARY: This position will operate primarily in the ARKU work center deburring parts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate the ARKU deburring machine to debur parts
- Operate the tumble blaster to debur parts
- Deburr parts using a hand grinder that are not suitable for the ARKU or tumble blaster, for example stainless steel and aluminum parts.
- Assist with loading material and unloading parts from the Plasma table
- Move and stack material as required.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including wearing necessary PPE such as face shield while grinding.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to safely and effectively operate equipment
- Ability to read, interpret and follow part drawings and job traveler.
- Ability to use basic measurement instruments and tools.
- Ability to use a shop floor computer to clock-in and clock-out of jobs.
- Ability to use standard handtools and powertools such as a grinder.
- Ability to properly operate a forklift, crane, pallet jack and other industrial equipment.
- Ability to interact in a positive manner with plant personnel and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred.
- Competent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have high standards of quality and pride in work.
- Must be able to work effectively independently and with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
