Part-Time IT Support Assistant
This entry-level position offers a great opportunity to develop both technical and customer service skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support to students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and in person.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Wi-Fi, Internet access, FortiNAC scans, software, account issues and password resets.
- Use knowledge base articles to guide users through solutions.
- Accurately document all support interactions in the ticketing system.
- Maintain a clean workspace and assist with general office duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new systems.
- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week; up to 20 hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Current Gannon University undergraduate student in good academic standing.
- Familiarity with computers, software applications, Gannon educational software.
- Good communication skills. Active listener. Dependable and able to follow directions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with users via phone calls.
Physical Demands
- Position requires sitting for the majority of the shift, typing, making and receiving phone calls to provide client support.
- Occasional lifting required (up to 50 lbs.) moving computers, delivering paper to copiers etc.
