About the Firm:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its well-established and highly regarded Labor & Employment practice in Chicago. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of employment litigation and counseling matters, representing large employers in complex and evolving workplace issues. The role provides meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and direct client interaction within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle employment litigation matters before courts, arbitrators, mediators, and government agencies
• Conduct witness interviews and assist with internal investigations
• Draft position statements, pleadings, and litigation motions
• Prepare employment-related documents, including employment and separation agreements
• Support case strategy and collaborate with partners on client matters
• Maintain strong client communication and contribute to relationship management
Qualifications:
✔ 2–4 years of employment defense or labor & employment experience
✔ Strong litigation experience across courts and administrative agencies
✔ Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
✔ Ability to manage cases with an ownership mindset
✔ Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
✔ Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
✔ Admission to the Illinois Bar required

💰 Compensation: $220,000–$265,000 annually (based on experience and market factors), along with bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
