About the Practice
The Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group advises debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex financial restructurings, insolvency proceedings, distressed transactions, and special situations matters. The team works across a broad range of industries, helping clients navigate challenging financial and operational circumstances while developing strategic and practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
β Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex restructuring matters
β Assist with Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings
β Advise clients on distressed transactions and strategic alternatives
β Support distressed M&A transactions, asset sales, and acquisitions
β Conduct legal research and analysis on complex bankruptcy and restructuring issues
β Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, transaction documents, and related materials
β Collaborate closely with attorneys across the national practice group
β Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance to clients
Qualifications
β’ J.D. from an accredited law school
β’ Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice
β’ 3β5 years of relevant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or related practice areas
β’ Experience representing stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings and restructuring matters
β’ Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and analytical skills
β’ Strong academic credentials
β’ Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively
β’ Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and client service
Preferred Experience
β Experience with distressed investing and private credit matters
β Exposure to capital solutions and special situations transactions
β Experience with creditor negotiations and restructuring strategies
β Background in distressed asset sales and acquisitions
