We’re looking for a full-time Store Manager in Training to help lead our location at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston, TX.
We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Associates, people who are as passionate about gaming and delivering an exceptional guest experience as they are about achieving their goals.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Learn to lead daily operations of the Gameway lounge to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Drive sales performance by setting clear goals, tracking results, and implementing creative strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Train and inspire a high-performing team that delivers outstanding service and embodies Gameway’s fun, customer-first culture.
- Oversee employee scheduling and labor management to maintain optimal staffing levels.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and visually appealing lounge that reflects the Gameway brand.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively order supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain all gaming equipment and lounge technology in perfect working order; troubleshoot or escalate maintenance issues as needed.
- Coach team members through ongoing feedback, recognition, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, airport regulations, and safety standards.
- Cultivate a welcoming environment that encourages guests to relax, play, and return.
- Learn and perform additional leadership and operational duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant General Manager in retail, hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment environments.
- Managed a minimum of five (5) direct reports, handling recruitment, performance management, and terminations.
- Fueled by a burning desire to grow and level up with the company.
- Passion for video games and gaming culture with knowledge of current gaming trends and technology.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Energetic, positive, and adaptable personality that thrives under pressure.
- Strong sales acumen and ability to meet and exceed financial targets.
- High-level customer service with a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds.
* All candidates must be able to pass a background check for the required badging by that airport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or higher degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Two (2) years of direct sales experience.
- Experience opening new company locations.
Pay and Schedule:
- Pay: $23.00 / hr.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; schedule varies according to the location’s needs
