Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in overseeing site development and heavy construction projects.
- Assist in interpreting project plans and specifications to support field operations.
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders in a timely manner.
- Participate in cost estimating for project scopes and change requests.
- Coordinate with field personnel and subcontractors to schedule labor, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation, logs, and reports.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and local agencies as needed to support project goals.
- Assist in reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and project correspondence.
- Perform job site visits and contribute to project meetings and field coordination.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager with accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering project support
- Familiarity with civil site work, utilities, and/or heavy construction projects
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work in the field and in office settings as needed
- Interest in a long-term career in the construction industry
- Internship or co-op experience with a civil contractor or related engineering firm
- Exposure to construction drawings, specifications, and field inspections
- Experience with software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or construction project platforms
- Familiarity with NY municipal or infrastructure projects is a plus
