Vice President Operations

A prominent national real estate development firm is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead a premier portfolio of luxury and mixed-income residential communities across the Midwest. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to drive portfolio performance, develop high-performing teams, and shape the resident experience across some of the region's most prominent multifamily assets.

Who You Are

• You have 10 years of progressive property management experience, including 5 years in senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree required; CPM, ARM, or MBA preferred
• Proven success leading multi-property, multi-market residential portfolios with full P&L responsibility
• Strong expertise in luxury multifamily operations, financial management, leasing strategy, and asset performance
• Deep knowledge of Fair Housing, EEO, and residential property regulations
• Experienced building and developing high-performing leadership teams
• Proficient with Yardi, RealPage, or similar property management systems

What You'll Do

• Lead operational strategy and financial performance for a Midwest multifamily portfolio, driving NOI growth and occupancy
• Oversee Regional Managers and General Managers while fostering leadership development and operational excellence
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, revenue management, and portfolio reporting
• Partner with leasing, marketing, development, and asset management teams to optimize property performance
• Champion exceptional resident experiences through consistent service standards and brand execution
• Oversee maintenance operations, capital projects, regulatory compliance, risk management, and vendor performance
• Support acquisitions, new developments, lease-ups, and other strategic portfolio initiatives

• Executive leadership views you as a trusted partner who drives long-term growth and continuous improvement

Salary Range: $200,000 – 250,000 annually, based on experience

Location: Chicago, IL – Fully on site, with regular travel throughout the Midwest
