Norton’s Restaurant of Green Lake, WI (now under Gage Marine’s family of businesses!) is hiring Hosts and Hostesses to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a host/hostess, you’ll set the tone for the dining experience by greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and waitlists, and escorting customers to their tables.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude
- Provide accurate wait times and manage reservations and waiting lists
- Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas and present menus
- Communicate with servers to ensure efficient seating and service flow
- Greet guests upon departure and thank them for dining with us
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Cater to guests requiring extra attention (such as families with children or elderly guests)
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
- Support the wait staff and restaurant team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is desirable.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
