Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management system
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, wait times, and guest preferences
• Support the restaurant team by managing guest flow and communicating wait times effectively
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure a clean, organized host/hostess station at all times

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments with strong guest relations skills preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette
• Strong organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest requests efficiently
• Ability to perform basic math for managing reservations and seating calculations
• Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on providing outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction
• Understanding of food safety practices and restaurant operations principles
