What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Food Runner position at Gabriella's Italian Steakhouse?
Busser Responsibilities:
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
- Closes dining room by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
Food Runner Responsibilities:
- Assists the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing.
- Delivers food to assigned tables.
- Sets up the front line with the equipment, plateware, and smallwares needed to effectively serve all food products.
- Garnishes finished entrees according to house specifications and procedures.
- Assists the expo and other kitchen personnel in accomplishing closing duties and kitchen cleanliness.
