- Partner with the Project Manager to implement and uphold the company’s safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and record-keeping requirements.
- Lead, supervise, coach, and mentor field teams, including direct and indirect reports.
- Coordinate with own forces and trade partners to ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
- Collaborate proactively with project leadership to anticipate and resolve schedule conflicts, constructability challenges, and site issues.
- Serve as the liaison between field engineers, estimators, subcontractors, clients, unions, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the overall project schedule, identify critical path activities, and address constructability concerns.
- Implement the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and maintain resource-loaded three-week lookahead schedules.
- Monitor budget performance, productivity, and quality to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Interpret and manage contract and subcontract requirements to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and administrative records.
- Lead effective site meetings and present project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline.
- NCSO designation required (IND); enrollment in the Gold Seal program (CDN) preferred.
- 4 years of progressive field supervision experience.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead construction workforces.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, and company operations.
- Ability to interpret project scope and apply engineering principles in planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and logical schedule development.
- Experience coordinating multiple scopes of work, including own forces work (OFW) and trade contractors using three-week lookahead schedules.
- Understanding of productivity rates, Labor Cost Reports (LCRs), and cost control practices.
- Ability to perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
- Strong understanding of contract language, risk management, and financial forecasting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and professional judgment skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems.
