Senior Interior Designer – Luxury Home

About the Role
We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Interior Designer to oversee the design of high-end custom residences and luxury home projects from start to finish.
The perfect candidate will possess a refined design sense, solid technical knowledge, and experience collaborating with luxury home clients, designers, builders, suppliers, and specialized workers.
This role is suited for a designer who can harmonize creative vision with the technical and project management aspects of intricate custom residences.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide luxury home interior design projects from inception to completion.
- Create design concepts, floor plans, elevations, finish palettes, furniture layouts, and presentations.
- Choose flooring, stone, tiles, cabinetry, millwork, hardware, light fixtures, furnishings, art, and decor.
- Lead client meetings and assist clients in making design choices and approvals.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, project managers, suppliers, artisans, and specialized workers.
- Handle multiple projects, design timelines, budgets, selections, and procurement schedules.
- Create and review interior design drawings, elevations, ceiling plans, finish plans, and millwork specifics.
- Review architectural drawings, samples, specifications, and submissions.
- Conduct site visits and oversee construction to ensure adherence to design intent.
- Develop FF&E, custom furniture, lighting, art, and decor selections.
- Manage procurement, installation, final styling, snag lists, and project completion.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior designers and project team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7 years of professional interior design background.
- Substantial experience with luxury home or custom residence projects.
- Impressive portfolio of elegant, high-end residential interiors.
- Experience overseeing projects from concept to construction and installation.
- Thorough knowledge of custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, tiles, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furnishings, and architectural details.
- Solid grasp of residential construction.
- Experience collaborating with architects, builders, contractors, and upscale clients.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design programs.
- Excellent client presentation, communication, organization, and project management competencies.
