Environmental Health and Safety Manager - Manufacturing

We’re recruiting for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to support two manufacturing facilities located in Bryan and Archbold, Ohio (approximately one hour west of Toledo and about one hour from Fort Wayne). This is a plant-based leadership role requiring regular onsite presence at both locations, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week.

This newly created position supports approximately 185 employees across two non-union production facilities.

What You’ll Lead

• Oversee OSHA compliance and EPA environmental compliance across both plants
• Drive ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and audit readiness
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations
• Lead corrective action planning and continuous safety improvement initiatives
• Manage hazardous materials, air emissions, stormwater, and industrial safety programs
• Strengthen safety culture through training, safety committees, and engagement efforts
• Partner with engineering and plant leadership on equipment and process safety reviews
• Supervise one direct report and monitor key EHS performance metrics
  
  

What You Bring

• Proven EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards
• Experience managing environmental compliance and regulatory programs
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification required
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
• Background in metal fabrication helpful but not required
• Degree preferred; substantial hands-on manufacturing EHS experience considered
  
  

Compensation & Benefits

• $90,000–$115,000 base salary
• Hybrid schedule (1 remote day per week)
