Windows Systems Engineer - Contract (On-Site)

We’re recruiting for a Windows Systems Engineer experienced with Windows Server, Azure, SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory to support both on-prem and cloud environments for our client’s Core Infrastructure team in Solon, OH. This long-term contract role works closely with peer technical teams under the Infrastructure Director and Technical Team Leader to design, implement, and optimize enterprise systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who takes ownership, solves complex problems, and strengthens infrastructure reliability, performance, and security in a fast-moving environment.

Required Technical Experience

CLOUD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED-Azure required. AWS is a plus.

• Expert-level knowledge of Windows desktop and server stacks, including SQL, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI, and Group Policy
• Proven experience with multiple storage platforms (on-prem and cloud), covering configuration, backup, and monitoring
• Deep background in virtualization technologies — Nutanix experience a plus
• Skilled in endpoint management using SCCM, Intune, and Azure Arc in a distributed enterprise environment
• Strong familiarity with IaaS/PaaS and Active Directory enablement across Azure and AWS
• Demonstrated use of security frameworks (NIST or DISM) and enterprise risk management tools
• Solid understanding of Azure and AWS networking concepts, including VPN, VNet, subnetting, and firewalls

• Veeam Backup & Recovery (on-prem or cloud)
• Meraki, HPE Aruba/Orchestrator, or other SD-WAN technologies
  
  

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States - no sponsorship is available. This position requires working 100% on-site at the client’s Solon, Ohio facility.
