We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing regional banking client seeking a senior operations leader to step into a high-impact, second-in-command role. This position offers direct partnership with executive leadership and a clear path toward a future COO-level opportunity.

This individual will play a central role in strengthening and scaling core banking operations, with an initial focus on loan and deposit functions, while helping guide broader operational strategy as the organization continues to expand.

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day performance across loan and deposit operations
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and execution
• Improve workflows, controls, and operational efficiency across teams
• Oversee core systems, vendor relationships, and system enhancements
• Analyze performance metrics, staffing models, and profitability drivers
• Collaborate with market leaders to align operations with business goals
• Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a regulated environment
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Strong background in banking operations with hands-on leadership experience
• Deep knowledge of lending and deposit processes and infrastructure
• Experience within a community or regional bank environment
• Track record of leading teams and driving accountability at scale
• Comfort balancing strategy with execution in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with core banking platforms (FIS, Jack Henry, CSI, or similar)
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to guide decisions
