We are looking for a seasoned and well-organized Construction Superintendent to manage day-to-day construction operations on-site in Berlin, CT. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while overseeing subcontractors and enforcing safety standards.
Duties
Site Supervision

Supervise all daily construction activities on-site

Coordinate subcontractors, labor, and materials

Ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications

Maintain site organization and productivity
Scheduling & Quality

Create and manage project schedule with Project Manager
-
Monitor progress and address delays promptly
-
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards
-
Verify completed work before inspections and handover
Health & Safety
-
Enforce safety regulations and conduct safety meetings
-
Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately
-
Maintain safety documentation and incident reports
Leadership & Communication

Act as main on-site point of contact

Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients

Lead by example and promote a positive work culture

Resolve conflicts and issues efficiently
Documentation & Reporting

Keep daily logs, progress reports, and manpower tracking

Review drawings, RFIs, and change orders

Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout paperwork
Requirements
Necessary
-
At least 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing

Ability to read construction drawings and specs

Proven experience managing subcontractors and job-site personnel
-
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

OSHA 30 certification (or willing to obtain)

Valid driver’s license
Preferable

Experience in commercial, residential, multifamily, or industrial construction

Familiarity with scheduling software like Procore, Buildertrend, or MS Project
-
CPR/First Aid certification
