THIS IS A 3YR W2 CONTRACT POSITION IN BROWNSTOWN, MI
MAX RATE: $34HR
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Supervisor to lead operations within our center. Reporting directly to the Superintendent and Plant Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end flow of materials, driving operational performance, and providing leadership to both hourly employees and level 6 supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Supervise inbound, outbound, and claims processing operations to ensure efficient material flow.
- Monitor daily operations and adjust resources to meet business demands and shipping commitments.
- Support operational needs across all shifts and provide coverage during supervisor absences.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and environmental standards, including ISO 14001 responsibilities.
Performance Management
- Drive achievement of key performance metrics, including:
- Building Safety
- Inventory Accuracy
- Error and Denial Rates
- Labor Productivity (LPMH)
- On-Time Delivery
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, solve problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence and best-in-class performance.
Workforce Management
- Schedule employee work assignments, overtime, and vacation coverage.
- Manage attendance, absenteeism, and workforce utilization.
- Ensure accurate administration of applicable Ford-UAW National and Local Agreements.
- Maintain work records, grid time reporting, and operational documentation.
Leadership & Employee Development
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and development to GSR 6 supervisors and hourly employees.
- Facilitate crew meetings and communicate operational priorities effectively.
- Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and manage grievance processes.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
Facility & Customer Focus
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Ensure customer requirements and dealer shipping deadlines are met or exceeded.
- Promote workplace safety and environmental stewardship throughout operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to hold team members accountable while fostering positive working relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently evaluate data and make sound decisions.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated record of reliability and continuous improvement.

- Willingness and flexibility to work all shifts, weekends, overtime, and non-traditional work schedules as business needs dictate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a UAW or unionized manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Experience with labor relations, conflict resolution, and grievance management.
- Knowledge of SAP, EWM, or similar warehouse management systems, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Experience leading teams in a high-volume operational setting.
- Military leadership experience highly valued.
- Recent college graduates with strong leadership potential are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule
