Role: Conveyor Systems Engineer
Location: Warren, MI
We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Project Specialist to support conveyor system projects of varying sizes across multiple sites. This role involves both in-plant and onsite responsibilities, with workload intensity depending on the phase of each project. Candidates must be adaptable and willing to travel to locations throughout the United States as needed (up to 50%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support conveyor system projects from planning through execution across multiple sites
- Provide onsite assistance during key project phases, with potential for heavy onsite involvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project success
- Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of conveyor systems
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication across all levels of participants
- Contribute to continuous improvement of conveyor processes and systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience working with conveyor companies or suppliers
- Strong background in conveyor technologies, including Chain Skid and Skillet systems
- Proven project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive industry experience
Work Environment:
- Combination of in-plant and onsite project work
- Travel required to various locations across the U.S.
- Workload may vary depending on project phase, with periods of increased onsite demand
