Automotive Electronics Technician- PCB

100% onsite- Warren, MI 1st shift

We are seeking a highly motivated Automotive Electronics Technician to support vehicle software, electrical, and electronic systems development activities. This role is responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues, performing module installations and replacements, supporting root-cause investigations, and validating repairs and software updates. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced working with vehicle electrical systems, wire harnesses, and electronic control module

Key responsibilities:

• Ability to use multiple technical tools and applications to access information needed for schematics, diagnostics, retrofit activities, and related work. Ability to read and interpret vehicle electrical schematics.

• Experience supporting vehicle root-cause analysis and issue resolution.

• Soldering experience at the PCB board, connector, and harness levels.

Ability to provide own hand tools will be ideal.

Required Qualifications·

Education: HS degree and 3 years as an Automotive tech (prefer Associate degree)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Experience working with vehicle electrical systems, electronic modules, and wire harnesses.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving electrical or electronic vehicle issues.
• Hands-on experience with module replacement, vehicle testing, and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
• Soldering experience at PCB, connector, and harness levels.
• Familiarity with vehicle communication networks and electronic control modules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, technical software applications, and engineering documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting automotive engineering development programs.
• Experience with software flashing and module programming.
• Familiarity with prototype vehicle builds or validation testing.
• Ability to provide and utilize personal hand tools for daily technician activities.
• Experience supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
