Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, experienced Class A or Class B Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves the safe and efficient transport of materials using a variety of trucks, including tractor‑trailers and flatbeds. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong safety awareness, professionalism, and full compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
Duties
- Operate Class A or Class B trucks, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Safely transport freight using, flatbeds, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route driven.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on assigned routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Familiarity with operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, and flatbeds.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in the trucking industry.
- Excellent route driving skills with a focus on timely deliveries.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
