About the Opportunity
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with MEP experience to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems across commercial, healthcare, educational, and institutional projects. This is a strong opportunity for an EIT-level engineer to continue progressing toward a PE while gaining hands-on project experience.
Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of mechanical building systems, supporting senior engineers, and contributing to project delivery from concept through construction. This role offers increasing responsibility and technical growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for building projects
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection
- Develop construction drawings and specifications using Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders
- Assist with construction administration (RFIs, submittals, site visits)
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards
- Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years of MEP design experience
- EIT required; PE on track strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Experience with HVAC load calculations (TRACE, HAP, or similar)
- Solid understanding of building systems and design principles
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Salary : $90,000 - $123,000
