Mid–Senior Civil Engineer (Land Development)

Overview
A well-established and growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Mid–Senior Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of land development projects across the Southeast. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, collaborate directly with clients, and contribute to a dynamic, design-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and execution of land development projects including commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments
- Perform site analysis, grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design
- Prepare construction documents, engineering calculations, and technical reports
- Coordinate permitting efforts with local and regional agencies
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Utilize Civil 3D and site design tools to optimize project outcomes
- Assist with or lead construction administration and site visits
- Mentor junior engineers/designers and support team development
- Manage multiple projects and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 4–10 years of experience in land development/site design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
- Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting processes
- EIT required; PE preferred (or in progress)
- Proven ability to manage projects and communicate with clients/stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use developments
- Familiarity with local permitting agencies and regulations
- Exposure to project management or client-facing responsibilities

Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
