Role Description

Future Mortgage is seeking a full-time, on-site DE Mortgage Underwriter based in Boise, ID. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating residential mortgage loan applications, analyzing borrower financials, reviewing income, assets, credit, and collateral, and making sound underwriting decisions based on agency and investor guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting Conventional, Jumbo, VA, and FHA loans and possess an active DE Certification. This role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Base Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Active DE Certification required

• Minimum 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience

• Strong experience underwriting Conventional, Jumbo, VA, and FHA loans

• Proficiency in Mortgage Underwriting and residential lending guidelines

• Advanced analytical and risk assessment skills

• Strong understanding of income calculation, asset review, and credit analysis

• Thorough understanding of federal, state, agency, and investor mortgage guidelines

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage pipeline deadlines in a high-volume environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
