The role
As our CPA, you'll be the backbone of our financial reporting and compliance efforts. You'll work closely with leadership to maintain accurate records, drive audit readiness, and provide strategic insights that support business decisions across our lending portfolio.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations; prepare and file corporate tax returns
Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized, accurate documentation
Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable/receivable, and prepare financial forecasts
Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic planning and operational decisions
Stay current on changes in mortgage industry regulations and accounting standards that affect the business
Qualifications
Active CPA license (required)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3 years of professional accounting experience; mortgage, lending, or financial services industry experience a strong plus
Solid command of GAAP and tax compliance requirements
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills — able to translate complex financial data into clear insights
