Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
• Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to ensure accurate fabrication
• Maintain proper machine operation by performing routine adjustments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance
• Utilize measuring instruments and precision measurement tools for quality inspection of finished parts
• Follow safety protocols diligently while handling machinery such as plasma cutters, press brakes, CNC mills, lathes, and forming machines
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to meet strict tolerances and specifications
• Assist with machine maintenance, tool setup, and calibration to uphold manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar machining tools in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Familiarity with CNC programming and shop math principles for precise machine setup and operation
• Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools and measurement instruments
• Ability to work efficiently on the 2nd shift schedule while maintaining high attention to detail
• Experience with other fabrication processes such as welding, forming machines, plasma cutting, or stamping presses is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
