Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment across various healthcare or commercial facilities. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, safety, and comfort of patients, staff, visitors, and clients. This position offers an energetic work environment where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness make a meaningful impact every day. Please note that this is a part-time position and cleaning will need to occur in the evening (after 7:00 PM) or before (8:30 AM).
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas using approved cleaning agents and techniques.
- Follow established protocols for infection control and environmental safety to ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
- Properly dispose of waste and hazardous materials following safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Use specialized equipment for cleaning tasks and maintain all tools in good working condition.
- Document completed tasks accurately in maintenance logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to environmental services and cleaning procedures.
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or commercial settings.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices essential for hospital or clinical environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning routines.
