We are in search of a Plant Maintenance Manager based out of our Mansfield, MA fabrication facility. This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing environment that offers the opportunity to plan, implement and oversee the plant's maintenance and continuous improvement activities. This position offers a fast paced and challenging work environment where independence and creative thinking are the norm. Strong communication and collaboration with all levels of all the organization is important to ensure that the environmental and safety needs are met.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports to the Plant Engineer and is responsible for all maintenance and engineering activities. Responsibilities include motivating the maintenance team and building a strong sense of community. Develop and execute strategies to continuously train and develop the skills of the maintenance technicians. Manage capital projects that utilize both internal and external resources. Participate on the plant management staff to ensure alignment on all operational activities and plans. The ideal candidate will have a background in maintenance, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for leading and developing people. RESPONSIBILITIES

· Promote a safety-centered culture and ensure compliance within the workplace

· Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties

· Coordinate with production to accommodate all necessary repairs and improvements

· Manage work orders and resources to ensure work is completed on time

· Communicate maintenance and project updates to all stakeholders

· Develop and implement best practices to improve maintenance department processes

· Monitor and leverage KPI data within the maintenance department for continuous improvement

· Create bench strength by cross training and coordinating continuous education

· Implement 5s within the maintenance department and maintenance shop.

· Continuously develop spare parts management and inventory control strategies.

· Continue development and deployment of CMMS implementation

· Manage maintenance department spending and budgeting

· Develop scope and cost estimates for capital projects and coordinate execution

QUALIFICATIONS / OTHER REQUIREMENTS

· 2 years of maintenance and engineering experience in an industrial or service setting

· 2 years of supervisory experience

· Associate degree in Mechanical, electrical or similar Engineering required. Bachelors degree is a plus.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Manage travel up to 5%

· Flexibility to work after hours, and some weekend and holidays if needed.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
