What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Coordinator position at Fute?
We are seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Coordinator to join a growing food manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the Food Safety & Quality Management System while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, SQF standards, customer expectations, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the site’s designated SQF Practitioner
Lead Food Safety, HACCP, Recall, and Internal Audit programs
Support SQF, Organic, Kosher, customer, and regulatory audits
Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, Food Defense, and Food Fraud programs
Conduct internal audits, documentation reviews, and corrective action follow-ups
Drive food safety training, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with Operations, QA, R&D, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of Food Safety & Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing
HACCP Certification
PCQI Certification
SQF Practitioner Training
Experience in dairy, non-dairy beverages, cultured products, UHT, or aseptic filling environments is highly preferred
