Role Overview.
This full-time, on-site position for a Fire Protection Designer in Corona, California involves developing detailed fire protection system designs while ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal codes. The role includes preparing CAD-based drawings and performing necessary calculations, as well as reviewing project specifications to support accurate system layouts and material selection.
The designer will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure smooth project execution and regulatory approval. Daily tasks also require coordinating across teams, resolving design challenges, and maintaining clear communication throughout project lifecycles.
Candidates should be proficient in Revit, AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, or similar design tools, and possess a strong understanding of fire protection standards and building codes. Experience in fire protection design or related engineering fields is required. NFPA certification or relevant training is considered an added advantage.
