Automotive Service Advisor / Front Office Lead – Fussell Tire (Apex, NC)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $24–$26/hour
Fussell Tire & Service is a long-standing, family-owned automotive and tire shop in downtown Apex. We’re looking for an experienced Service Advisor / Front Office Lead who can confidently take charge of the front counter and grow into a long-term leadership role within our shop.
This is not an entry-level position. We’re looking for someone who already understands how an automotive shop operates and is comfortable managing customer interactions, workflow, and daily front office responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet customers and manage front desk operations day-to-day
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and create repair orders (RO Writer or similar)
- Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, maintenance, and tire options
- Coordinate with technicians to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintain accurate estimates, invoices, and service records
- Help keep the front office organized, professional, and running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous automotive experience required (service advisor, writer, or similar role)
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and tire services
- Confident communicator who can guide customers and build trust
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Dependable and comfortable taking initiative
- Comfortable in an active, fast-paced environment — this role involves frequent movement between the front counter and shop, checking vehicle details, coordinating with technicians, monitoring inventory, and communicating directly with customers
- Someone looking for a long-term position, not a temporary job
- Ability and willingness to eventually run the front office independently
