Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, ensuring customers are informed about recommended services.
- Prepare detailed auto service estimates using auto estimating software, including labor, parts, and additional charges.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, alignments, suspension work, transmission repairs, diesel engine diagnostics, shocks & struts replacement, air brake servicing, and auto body repairs.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages that enhance vehicle performance and safety while respecting customer preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage service writing documentation efficiently.
- Maintain thorough records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories for future reference.
- Foster positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service experience and follow-up support.
Skills
- Proven experience with a solid understanding of automotive service management processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing to produce precise quotes promptly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures such as oil changes, alignments, tire services, auto body repairs, and more.
