Project Accountant

Job Title: Project Accountant

Fuse3 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant for our client to support financial operations across construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong job cost accounting knowledge, experience with AIA billing, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. This role is essential in ensuring accurate project financials, timely billing, and clear communication across all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Perform weekly analysis of project budgets to monitor progress and financial performance
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and customers regarding billing inquiries and issues
• Create and process change orders as needed
• Coordinate with banks, investors, and customers for construction draw requests
• Prepare and deliver project-related financial reports
• Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on billing and budgeting matters
• Provide project accounting services as requested by the client
• Apply job cost accounting principles to all project financial activity
• Manage and prepare AIA billing documentation
  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting principles and AIA billing
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
  
  

Pay for the Project Accountant is up to $70k/year based on experience.
