What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the IT support team, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for employees who need technical assistance. You’ll help diagnose issues, resolve everyday technical problems, and ensure users get back to work quickly and smoothly.
Your Day-to-day Will Include
- Serving as the first line of support for IT issues submitted via phone, email, walk-ups, and self-service tools
- Gathering details, assessing impact, and prioritizing issues appropriately
- Troubleshooting common problems related to Windows devices, applications, email, remote access, mobile devices, and connectivity
- Escalating more complex issues to specialized support teams while maintaining ownership of the request
- Creating, updating, and closing support tickets while meeting established response and resolution expectations
- Documenting solutions and contributing to internal knowledge resources
- Identifying repeat issues and flagging trends to leadership
- Assisting with basic user account administration, including access management and security tokens
- Prior experience in a help desk, service desk, or technical support role (professional or academic)
- Comfortable working in a Windows 11 environment
- Solid understanding of PC setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow experience is a plus, not required)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple requests, and follow issues through to resolution
