Duties

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to evaluate substance use, mental health status, and co-occurring disorders using DSM-5 criteria and clinical documentation standards.
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety and stabilization during acute episodes.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, case management strategies, and discharge planning aligned with client needs and clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical staff, and family members—to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in ongoing research, data collection, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes and adhere to clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or co-occurring disorders in clinical settings.
• Strong knowledge of addiction medicine, behavioral health practices, DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments, behavioral therapy sessions, and crisis interventions effectively.
• Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and understanding of social work principles is highly desirable.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
