Who WE are looking for:
APC is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and motivated Employee Relations Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This is an entry level role and a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who’s interested in learning more about employee relations, leave administration, and team member engagement. You’ll support key HR processes, help create a positive team member experience, and assist with day-to-day HR operations.

What is expected of YOU:
● Be a welcoming and approachable point of contact for employees seeking HR assistance.
● Support the administration of employee leave programs (such as FMLA and personal leaves), including tracking time and maintaining accurate records.
● Assist with employee relations activities, and prepare documentation for investigations.
● Help manage employee data and documentation through our HR systems.
● Coordinate employee engagement programs, such as milestone check-ins (30, 60, 90 days), team celebrations, and recognition initiatives.
● Support HR with unemployment claims, employee offboarding, and exit interviews.
● Partner with the HR team to maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Experience YOU will need:
● High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred.
● 1 year of experience in an HR, administrative, or customer service role (internships and part-time roles are welcome).
● Ability to remain composed and solution-focused in high-pressure, high-volume environments
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
● Comfortable using UKG Pro is a plus).
● Interest in learning about employment law and HR best practices.
● Bilingual language skills (English & Spanish)
Physical Requirements:
● Constantly handle, wrist motion, sit, hear, and eye/hand coordination
● Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop
● Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
● Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
