Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demos when applicable
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance product visibility
- Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and monitoring product levels
Experience
- Prior cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in a retail setting is a plus
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and customer service best practices
- Experience with grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and product demos
