Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Overview:

The AMPM Cashier provides excellent customer service, while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise. We are hiring both full-time and part-time team-members for any/all shifts, including graveyard.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provides top quality customer service at all times and to every customer.

· Performs daily station cleaning and maintains a safe work environment.

· Complies with company standards on carding customers for all age restricted products.

· Prepares food & drinks, cleans, stocks and maintains food prep area in compliance with health codes.

· Stocks and merchandises as instructed by management.

· Secures all funds in safe or register and completes daily shift reports. Makes timely drops and maintains cash drawer at or below maximum level.

· Conducts Loss Prevention Observations, Loss Investigations and Near Loss Investigations.

Required Skills/Experience:

· Ability to provide excellent customer service (i.e. outgoing, friendly, greet every customer with a smile).

· Ability to multi-task, resolve problems, handle difficult situations, and work with other team members.

· Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work unaccompanied, standing for long periods of time, and without defined break periods.

· Ability to bend, twist and lift at least 50 lbs in narrow spaces.

· Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

· Ability to do basic math for the cash register and in completing till changes and shift paperwork.

· Ability to get to work with reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

· Previous cash handling and customer service experience

· Possess a Food Handlers Certification

· Positive, outgoing personality

· Proficient verbal & written communication skills
