Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to create a positive shopping environment
- Assist customers in selecting OTC products, including product demos and detailed explanations of benefits and usage
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products effectively by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Maintain well-stocked shelves through merchandising, stocking, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to OTC products and retail sales procedures
- Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store services with excellent phone etiquette
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or health/wellness retail environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
