Project Manager – Construction (Milton, MA)
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading all phases of construction projects in the Milton, MA area—from pre-construction planning through project close-out. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate has strong communication and leadership skills, deep knowledge of New England construction practices, and experience managing complex residential or mixed-use projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day project operations, schedules, budgets, and site activities.
- Manage all phases of the construction lifecycle: permitting, procurement, pre-construction planning, active construction, inspections, and turnover.
- Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules; identify risks, delays, and required adjustments.
- Prepare and manage budgets, track costs, and oversee change orders.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts building codes, safety requirements, and all regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular site walks, quality control reviews, and punch-list inspections.
- Lead subcontractor meetings, provide direction, and ensure accountability on deliverables.
- Maintain clear communication and provide ongoing updates to leadership teams and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism on job sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8 years of experience managing construction projects in the residential, multifamily, or mixed-use sectors.
- Strong understanding of local / New England building codes, zoning, permitting, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and diverse teams.
- Proficient with project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to navigate municipal processes and maintain strong relationships with local contractors and regulatory agencies.

- Knowledge of sustainability and energy-efficient construction practices.
- Familiarity with value engineering, cost control, and contract negotiation.
