Senior HR Generalist

Our client, a well-established and growing industrial/manufacturing organization in the Tonawanda area, is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join their team. This individual will serve as a key driver of the day-to-day HR function while partnering closely with HR leadership and operations management across the business.
This is a broad, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys wearing many hats, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact across all areas of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership and frontline management to support employee relations, performance management, coaching, and organizational initiatives
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for a variety of positions across the organization
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, training, and employee development initiatives
- Help administer HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits, HR processes, and workplace concerns
- Support investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and employee engagement efforts
- Assist with payroll coordination, HR reporting, audits, and HRIS maintenance
- Partner with HR leadership on strategic initiatives, process improvements, and culture-building efforts
- Maintain strong visibility throughout the facility and build relationships across all levels of the organization
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or related environments
- Strong generalist background across employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR operations
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands-on environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Proven ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of an organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- PHR/SPHR certification is a plus
