Our client, a national homebuilder, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support division leadership and drive key financial and operational decisions. This is a high-visibility role with broad exposure across the business and close partnership with FP&A and executive leadership.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst is central to financial and operational reporting for the Division and is deeply involved in nearly all aspects of the business, including sales, land acquisition and development, construction, customer service, purchasing, and closings. This role partners closely with the FP&A Manager and Director of FP&A to proactively identify risks and opportunities and translate insights into actionable business decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Division President and department leaders on financial analysis and reporting
- Support the 3-year strategic plan, annual plan, and ongoing forecasts
- Prepare monthly forecasts including KPIs, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Build financial models, proformas, and sensitivity analyses for land acquisitions
- Monitor land development budgets, margins, and production cycle times
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies across communities
- Analyze competitor pricing and features; present recommendations
- Support month-end close, unit reconciliations, and SOX compliance
- Perform ad-hoc modeling and support cross-functional initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 2–4 years of finance or accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills (pivot tables required)
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated to grow
- Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, or JDE is a plus
