Safety Coordinator
***SCHEDULE***
***NIGHT SHIFT*** 6 pm - 6 am, 6 days a week (~72 hours)
Position Overview
wWe are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support and promote a safe working environment across active construction projects. This individual will work closely with field personnel, supervisors, and subcontractors to help ensure compliance with safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels to reinforce safe work practices and address potential hazards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and observations to identify and address potential hazards
- Assist with implementing and enforcing company safety policies and procedures
- Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action follow-up activities
- Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance-related paperwork
- Monitor employee and subcontractor adherence to safety requirements and PPE standards
- Participate in site safety meetings and communicate safety expectations to project teams
- Assist with new employee safety orientations and ongoing safety initiatives
- Help identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety performance and culture
- Work collaboratively with project management and field leadership to address safety concerns in a timely manner
- Support regulatory compliance efforts and help maintain a safe, organized work environment
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Minimum of 6 months of workplace safety experience in a construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related environment
- Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments
- Ability to recognize hazards and promote safe work practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading toolbox talks, safety meetings, or pre-task planning discussions
- Experience providing or supporting fall protection training
- Experience providing or supporting confined space safety training
- Experience providing or supporting electrical safety training
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, or hazard assessments
- Experience working with subcontractors and multiple trades on active construction projects
Salary : $30 - $38
