Extrusion Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fiber Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining a Fiber Extrusion Line in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

This position follows a rotating schedule consisting of 3-4 consecutive 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night rotations depending on the assigned group.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and continuously monitor the Fiber Extrusion Line to ensure consistent quality, size, and appearance of finished products
• Identify and correct unusual conditions, faulty equipment, or defective materials; escalate issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate supervisor or technician
• Clean all process tooling and extrusion equipment following established procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation of process conditions, run-time details, and any deviations
• Complete all required paperwork with accuracy and maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using appropriate measurement tools
• Report material, machine defects, or significant issues to leadership
• Support the production team and help minimize machine downtime through basic troubleshooting
• Follow all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by leadership

What You Bring

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics; ability to follow detailed instructions and processes
• Skills:
• Basic math and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, culturally diverse environment

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
